7 Layer Chili

Nothing beats out chili for comfort food between the wonderful flavor and mouthwatering smell, what’s not to love about it.  Just sitting down with your family eating a hot bowl of chili accompanied by corn muffins, is the best way to end your day. All the ingredients come together so beautifully- between the hearty beans/crushed tomatoes, the bold seasonings and the always wonderful cheese and sour cream.  Vegetarians do not worry this chili is 100% vegetarian friendly but, my fellow meat lovers don’t fret.  Just add some ground beef or ground turkey and you will be all set.    This chili is super easy to make ahead of time, freeze it and then reheat it for dinner.  We hope you enjoy this comfort food craving of ours and Enjoy. Taco Dip

This is a one of kind dip with a very unique taste that will have you coming back for more.  It has a really creamy taste with nice a spiced counterbalance taste at the end.  Another great part about this dip is that you can add olives, lettuce or any other topping you like!!  I bet you have all these ingredients sitting around in your kitchen, so you can whip up this dip at anytime.  This a great dip to share with friends at a party or by yourself while watching some Netflix.  If you do bring this to a party be prepared to give out the recipe because, last time I received so many questions on how to make this.  So break out your tortilla chips and enjoy!! Compost Cookies

Who would think  bland oats,  salty pretzels,  crunchy chips,  sweet chocolate chips and  creamy butterscotch chips would make such a wonderful cookie.  Not me but, I was sure wrong- it makes such a prodigious combination that it is sure to please you. We all know composting is great for the environment but, these cookies great if you want to make your stomach as pleased as could be.  Compost cookies make a dessert, midnight snack or just a little something sweet to enjoy between meals.  The absolute best part of eating these cookies are is the fact that their jam packed with different flavors yet, they all taste marvelous during every bite.  So next time your feeling munchy, make these cookies, sit down with a glass of milk and enjoy the combination of sweet and salty!! Fresh Pico de Gallo

This Pico de Gallo is so fresh and tasty, I feel like I’m in a restaurant in Mexico.  This is a great party starter dip or just a good dip with tortilla chips.  We actually got the tomatoes from our garden, which put the dish over the top.  I love the combination of all the flavor, they combine so beautifully.  This is also a great way to cool you down on a hot summer day and all you have to do is chop some vegetables.  We hope you enjoy!! Stuffed Pepperoni, Mushroom Stromboli

Say Good Bye to pizza pockets because this Stromboli is off the charts.  It is super easy to make and we love eating it in our house.  To me the best part is you can fill the stromboli with whatever pizza fillings your taste buds desire.  You can either make homemade dough ( what I did)  or buy pre-made dough.  For some extra flavor be sure to have some marinara dipping  sauce on the side or drizzle it over the stromboli once it’s done being cooked.  We hope you try out this Stromboli and Enjoy it with friends & family!! Garlicky Parmesan Pretzels

This might be the fastest & easiest snack to ever be on the planet.  The combination of the garlic and parmesan is on point.  Personally the best part about this snack is it only needs 4 ingredients and takes 6 minutes.  Yes 6 minutes.  Funny story- The 1st I made these I accidentally put in 1/4 cup (instead of 1/2) of garlic & when they came out I was really confused why they turned out super garlicky.  How got 1/8 of a cup from 1/4 I don’t know. 2nd time around I put the correct measurement in and it tasted superb!!  With all that being said you should really give this recipe a shot, because in 6 minutes you have a snack that you can’t get enough of!! Chocolate Chip Cookie Bars

These chocolate chip cookie bars put chocolate chip cookies to shame.  They are more dense and 2x the amount of chocolate chips of a regular cookie.  You can add nuts or different M&M’s like almond, regular or caramel.  Also these are great holiday treats for teachers or friends!!  They are great with a glass of milk or dipped in peanut butter.  So do yourself a favor and don’t keep balling cookie dough or making sure they don’t fall apart when they are fresh out the oven;  just make these cookie bars instead.  PS- they also leave your house smelling mouth-watering when they come out of the oven!! There is nothing that beats waking up in the morning and eating a  delectable Swiss cheese mushroom quiche.  It’s even better with a side of bacon and roasted potatoes. This is a great lazy day Sunday breakfast to make, or also something to whip up when company’s in town- your sure to impress them!!  If you choose to make homemade dough you can even make it the night prior so then in the morning you can cook up the filling and be done.  I’m telling you right now that this quiche is 5 out of 5 stars and I still sure to put a smile on your face!  This recipe was inspired from the Moosewood Cookbook.
